The official Turkish delegation headed by Mr. Saim Kerman, President of the Turkish Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Institution and representatives of Turkish Pharmaceutical Exporters Platform visited Riyadh-Saudi Arabia on November 27th, 2012 to meet the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) health authorities.

The Turkish delegation encountered 6 Council member states’ health representatives in the meeting titled “GCC- Turkey Meeting on Elimination of Trade Barriers to Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing & Medical Equipment”

The Turkish Delegation informed the GCC representatives about the difficulties faced by the Turkish pharmaceutical companies in access to GCC market. In the meeting it is also decided to hold a workshop in Turkey in April 2013 with the participation of the health authorities and the representatives from pharmaceutical and medical equipment industries of Turkey and GCC.
